my brother's orchids from my visit/vacation in NYC

Hi, everyone! I have been swamped so I haven't had the chance to post these photos. My brother flew me to NYC to visit him at the end of October. I spent a whirlwind 5 days there! The highlight was seeing the Noguchi Museum and the Statue of Liberty and the Samurai Arts exhibit as well as the wonderful 5 star restaurants, LOL! That 5 days was enough to stuff me more than 5x of Thanksgiving feasting if you can imagine with all that food and wine.

Well, here are some photos I took of his orchids. He only grows phals because they are continual bloomers. Sorry I don't know what kind of phals they are. I think the purple ones are very common, at least!

There's nothing like a well grown phal for instant elegant decor - this is something I hope to one day accomplish with my orchids, although I'll likely be so paranoid about low light that I'd never take anything out of my grow area to 'display' in the house. Great photos (and isn't NYC great?)

They are all lovely, good pictures too. I just got one like the last one in Philly visiting my daughter. Tricia

Calvin, little wonder you can't take the risk. The hundreds and hundreds of available phals are not at all like your once in a lifetime rare jewels of orchids, LOL! and just like rare gems they are only up for a rare specialized display instead of "costume jewelry flaunts" hahahaha!

Jane, I am also jealous of what is behind those kitchen cabinets too! All this cooking equipment and cutlery to die for! His knives are from a famous Japanese producer of samurai swords, hahaha! Sheesh! I want that cutlery!!!! LOL!
