Masdevallia floribunda
The only masdie that has survived Central Florida conditions without any special set up. I have tried a few of Komoda crosses, and one is still doing well (cant remember which)..And Masdie infracta, from a vendor in Brazil (Floralia)
I have had the plant for well over a year - bought it very tiny, a seedling. It is grown in sphag, and the lower one third of the pot is filled with lava rock.
Surprisingly (to me), floribunda is nicely fragrant..One needs to stick their nose in the flower to smell it though, but it does smell of freshness and cloves..
And a size comparison
Thanks for looking, and Happy Holidays!
