It's been in the low 30's to the mid teens here in Iowa. We did not get any of that warm air last week. The local joke around here was...
Iowa was colder than normal because all the "hot air" had taken a plane to New Hampshire on Jan 4th.
And just like the morbidly obese fellow who has not been able to see his ... 'er feet, in a couple of years... I have not seen my lawn since the 1st of December due to the persistent ice and snow cover that just gets deeper.
I can hardly wait until my January utilities bill arrives...it will no doubt brighten my day.(sigh)
Record snowfall in December (~2 feet). Unseasonably warm spell for a January Thaw (60 F for a day or two). All the snow melted and the grass was green. Cold snap and massive frost heaves of mole tunnels in the back near the woods. 1 foot of snow on Monday and more coming. Pat's going for 18-0 on Sunday, redsox win again.
Well it's cold here i Texas. For me anyway. Wind and in the 50's is like freezing. I have dandelions too this year. Waiting for this rain session and for some warmer weather to pull them up.
This weather is nuts here in woodstock, ga. I have some major weed issues in some bare spots of my lawn right now. I'm going to try and take some vinegar to it. I hear thats suppose to do the trick.
