Sure. It takes a few weeks for it to start taking effect, so even if you had put it on a little early, it would've been okay.

I see you live in California. I guess the low humidity there is the difference between you still being able to use your soybean mean and the ordeal I had where the basucally unused 50# bag of soymeal turned into a block of cement like soybean meal filled with maggots and flies and the stench of death. Weird thing is I bought it in January and a month or 2 this occures. Your soybean meal was from the fall and it is not infested with maggots 6 months later. You're lucky.

Freezing is the best way to keep your meals from getting buggy. You should only have to freeze it for a few hours to kill the bugs and eggs.

Good idea Dchall. Wish I had a second stand alone freezer in my garage for such a purpose. Definitely not enough room in my normal Refrigerator/Freezer for a 50# bag of Soybean Meal.

Another way to freeze 50 pounds of soybean meal is to freeze two pounds every night and 2 more every day. Scoop out 2 pounds from the bag, put it in a Rubbermaid bin and freeze over night. In the morning dump the frozen meal into a clean Rubbermaid bin and cover it well. Then repeat the process and let it freeze while you're at work. Pretty soon you will have frozen it all.
