Sawdust in new TTTF lawn

I seeded a new lawn last fall with good old K-31 TTTF- my goal was durability and the ability to stand up to dog traffic.

Everything went well and I have a lovely new lawn. However I also had to have two massive old oak trees taken down, and while cutting them into manageable pieces an appreciable amount of sawdust was left in my new lawn. We have raked up all that we can, but I am seeing yellowing due to (I guess) the nitrogen tie up.

One month ago we applied our spring corn gluten meal, and were going to put down soybean meal this weekend (we are using your recommended rates- I can't recall the formula, but it was a buttload).

Is there anything else you could suggest to possibly counter this yellowing from the sawdust? I have been tossing a bit of blood meal around to try and supply some quick nitrogen but it is a huge area and hand application is too hit/miss.

Would applying some fish emulsion via hose end sprayer be OK?

Yes. You can also double (or triple) the amount of soybean in that yellowed area to supply more resources to it. You'll likely have to do that several times as it yellows again, though.

As a related side note, you would not be any better off if you were on a chemical fertilizer program.

I have lots of soybean meal so will toss some additional over that way, and will hit it with some fish emulsion today.

No- I know chemicals wouldn't help. I have run an organic landscape since 1996, but last year moved from zone 10 to zone 6, so am running into issues (as well as plants) that I have never faced before. It's a bit of a steep learning curve in a lot of respects- St. Augustine recovered from any insult really quickly as compared to fescue.
