texas_weed will be along to help, but in general the weeds you see now are wildflowers. They seeded and sprouted last fall. the only thing you can do now is pull them. Next year be sure your bermuda turf is as dense as can be. Usually that means mowing multiple times per week at a very low setting. Bermuda golf greens, for example, are mowed at 1/16 inch, so you cannot go too low.

If you do not have a Weed Hound tool, visit any box store and get one. It really makes weeding easy.

I do have a weed hound but there are way too many. Most of the weeds are grassy, wildflower types and Iknow they will be gone soon or at least fade as the bermuda comes out of dormancy.
I always mow my bermuda about 1 and 1/2 inches, that's as low as you can get with a bumpy lawn and a rotary mower. It's pretty short, funny my neighbor always mows his burmuda high. He used to have it treated and he has not one weed. But I don't think he has had it treated in over a year, i guess his is thicker though.

kmnhiramga I feel your pain, unfortunately I can not offer much help only commiserate. I have bermuda in North Georgia, but I am also new to this, so my lawn is still in a sorry state. I can only get my husband to mow once a week and with the rest of the yard to maintain as well as a house I haven't been able to mow it either. will a second weekly mowing really make that much of a difference?

FYI my biggest problem right now is that poa annua (sp?) or annual bluegrass I think it is called. I would love to know how to keep that out of the dormant bermuda. I have heard to use CGM in the fall (last year I only used it in the spring) Is that my best bet? I have some really huge sections of it that I don't know what to do with.
