Too late for CGM application?

Posted by hondafan 5 (My Page) on

Am I too late to apply CGM for Southern WI? We are having temps in the mid 50's to upper 60's for the week. I plan to apply the CGM this Saturday. Also, at what setting should I have for my spreader for application? I have a Scotts Accugreen.

RE: Too late for CGM application?

Here in IL, I learned from the folks here that I can put CGM until April 15 and soil temp is between 52F and 58F. I applied 20/lbs per 1000 square feet. Also, from my research, it is the best time to apply when forsythia blooms. Don't know for your area.

RE: Too late for CGM application?

Ok, thanks for the message. Since I am in the Milwaukee area, I may still be fine for this weekend.
