watering after applying compost tea

I was going to start brewing some compost tea. If I apply the tea using a 2 gallon garden sprayer to my lawn and plants. How long should I wait to water using my sprinklers. I am on city water and concerned that the chlorine will kill the microorganisms.

I thought one applies compost tea using a watering can?

Anyhow, it is probably best to do this in the evening(no sunlight) and not water afterwards.

Yes that is a concern. Still, applying tea is better than not applying tea.

You could wait for it to rain and then apply.
