Feed the lawn. Clover seems to show up in large amounts when the nitrogen level is low (although I have some and my N level is about where it should be for May or even a little high).

You can remove it by hand using a Weed Hound, or just rake it with a hand-rake to tear it up. Either way, I've found it regrows a bit but it's easier to get rid of the next time.

Or you can learn to love it--clover supplies nitrogen to your lawn for free. In small amounts, it's not annoying and in a good lawn it's not particularly invasive.

Yeah right. Feeding the lawn won't do much to slow clovers down. I have a bunch of thriving white dutch clovers and i've feed my lawn twice this spring already.

Hot summer will slow them down significantly unless the summer is wetter than usual.

Actually, it seems to speed the clover's growth and spread. However, it also strengthens the lawn and increases the spread on that, giving the clover less room to grow.
