I personally think you should just stick with grains. I am primarily a SBM user, but switch around and use corn meal and Alfalfa from time to time. I have great results with using only grains. My soil is a very heavy clay and it seems to respond very well to applications. How much is SBM in your area? Here we can get it for about $12 a bag and that goes about 3400 sqft for me.

Garden Safe is composted poultry litter which is different from Scotts Organic Choice. I don't recall how much product comes in a bag but do the math on that application rate because I seem to recall that the coverage rate is less than 1# of N per. Its not such a bargain

The key words are "natural base." What they did was take their regular synthetic fertilizer and add some chicken compost. Then the marketing guys had a dilemma: How to sell the stuff. Do they say, "Our same powerhouse of proven chemicals PLUS compost," or do they switch it around to appeal the the organic people and say, "We started with a 'base' of natural ingredients and bumped up the effectiveness by adding just the tiniest smidge of our tried-and-true synthetics."

If you look carefully at the ingredients, it has all the synthetic chemicals in it that regular synthetic fertilizer has.
