Ringer organic products?

Help! I live way up in northeastern Illinois and I'm trying to locate Lawn Restore by Ringer. Home Depot carried it just last year, but not now (though they do now carry the new Scott's "organic" stuff, hmm). Anyone from this area know where I can find some--it does a great job on the grass, I can vouch for it. I'd also like to spread some calcium (do I mean calcium nitrate?) on my lawn as well. Any suggestions there?

I've tried Lawn Restore and I agree that it "does a great job" like you say. However, I get similar results from soybean meal (SBM). SBM costs $11 to $12 per 50 lb bag at my local feed store. You'll pay about twice as much for Ringer per pound.

I also live in NE Illinois and buy SBM at the Elburn Co-op in Elburn.

That's good info. Thanks!

how do you apply the soy meal.
Can it be broadcast spread?

SBM spreads beautifully through my Earthway broadcast spreader. Not clumpy or dusty. I do see the occasional kernel of feed corn in there ;)

Also noteworthy is that optimally, SBM should be applied @ 15lbs per 1000sqft.

My 2 cents

Good day, Dan
