Crabgrass vs bermuda woes :(

Okay I started doing my lawn organically 4 years ago and had it in good shape by 2008 and then when my son was born I let the lawn go for 2 years. Well now I've begun an organic approach once again and have been mowing once a week and using soybean meal every month since April. I've been hitting a lot of weeds with vinegar and that worked great. Now after a lot of rain last week my lawn has been invaded my crabgrass more than ever. I have heard that just thickening up my bermuda lawn will crowd out the crabgrass and the bermuda will eventually win. I have used baking soda on some of the crabgrass with good results but theres too much to treat it all. Maybe what I need to hear are some success stories on how others have gotten the upper end on crabgrass. Also what can I do besides CGM in fall/spring? Will the bermuda win the battle in the end??
