Settings for Scotts Accuspread for Corn Gluten

After taking my best guess for the Accuspread 2000 and walking back and forth across the lawn I have way too much left. Of course I can try to find the time and strength to go the across the other way but I am not sure that will do it either. Anybody know what the setting would be. The bag I bought just has a suggestion of 1/3.

When I first tried spreading CGM with a Scotts spreader I did the same thing. First I tried it half way open. Seeing how much I had left over when it should have put down half a bag, I decided to open the spreader up all the way. It still took two more complete walk-overs to get it all down. Now I fling it like chicken feed.

Thanks, dchall. I can't believe I spent so long trying to figure out the settings and your system makes more sense.
