Now, I am zone 8 Texas and I apply my fall application around the end of Sept. for winter weeds. I make my second application around the end of February for summer weeds. However, you must understand the CGM only works on annual weeds. It does nothing to perennial weeds such as dollar weed except to fertilize them. If you are in zone 6 you would probably what to modify applications accordingly. Perhaps early Sept. and mid to late March. Also, you can save a lot of money by purchasing your CGM at a feed store. A rose is a rose and CGM is CGM.

Trust me I looked high and low at the feed stores for CGM and either they didn't have it or didn't even know what it was. Maybe its disguised in some feed? A milling company around here sells it but can only sell it in quantities of one ton or more, a bit much for my 4000 sq ft lawn so I had to buy it under brand name and pay much more. I'm not sure what all weeds I've got whether annual or perennial I just know I've got a lot. Hope the fall and spring application will get some of them.

I forgot if you told me you lived in OKC or not, but Meisers Feed in Norman carries corn gluten meal, last I checked, it was $19.80 for a 50lb bag.
