A lot of rain, and relatively warm temperatures, can encourage the growth of Powdery Mildew in the grass and that would be a whitish, to greyish, colored dusty appearing growth. This is not a very large problem and usually self resolves when the rain (excess moisture) stops. Most often I see this on plants that are growing in soils with too much available Nitrogen.
Maybe spraying the area with a 50/50 mixture of fat free milk and water will help. However, unless the conditions that cause this are fixed (ones you really have no control over) it most likely will return.

Thanks, Kimm. I guess it probably is some form of powdery mildew. I was going to take pics, but it looked a little better already. I think getting the sun in and getting away some of that excess grass and moisture helped.

If you have a fungal disease you want to cut down on fertilizer (in my opinion, especially high nitrogen chemical ones), cut down on watering (sometimes hard if mother nature insists), quit mulch mowing for a while (bag and mulch your clippings) to cut down on "food" and give it more air circulation. And, in the future when you get back around to seasonal periods where you had trouble with that, try applying corm meal or cracked corn as your organic fertilizer.
