Before and After Pics

Two years after buying the house, and one year after laying new sod and switching to organics. The first three sets are the befores and afters, the rest are just more gratuitous lawn porn. Note: the front of the house between my driveway and the driveway on the left is the new sod. What I think is more impressive is the right side of the house (pics 5, 6, 7, and 8.) That area has had nothing done to it except SBM, CGM, compost, coffee grounds, cornmeal, and proper cultural practices.

Very nice!

Very nice. I wish my cool season grass in the shady area would green and thicken like that. What type grass?

RE: Before and After Pics

It's just plain Raleigh St. Augustine. Nothing special.

It's a really shady area, but the trees are cut high enough it gets a fair amount of early morning and late afternoon/evening sun.

WOW - I love how you pulled up the shrubs and opened up the front of your house. Very nice. And the grass looks wonderful. Well done!

It's amazing... you do some digging here, a little trimming there, and whole bunch of cutting... That, and removing the "flower" bed and laying the new sod changed the entire look of the house.

Looking back, I now realize I did not look at the yard AT ALL when we bought the house. It was definitely the interior that sold it.

Thanks for the compliments.

Brizzy - I am so impressed and was totally shocked at the differences. The improvements to thickness, COLOR, appearance, flower beds, PAT yourself on the back. You have done marvelous.
