Anybody use castings in tea?

I know looking around there are some mixed ideas for using worm castings to make a tea but I was thinking of using a little mix with some compost to brew up. Does anyone have any experience or have any positives/negatives on using castings for brewing? Are there any potential pathogenic microbes that come from the castings? Thanks
