That 48 % is no doubt the protein count in that product. It would be 100 % soy meal less any impurities. That is the one you want, just regular soy bean meal used for animal feed. Congratulations on your decision to go organic with your lawn maintenance. You wonÂt be disappointed.

Regular is fine. That means that the fields are not certified as organic and grown using pesticides (like most things you eat). The organic farmers charge more because, frankly, their average yield tends to be lower per acre.

There are exceptions. In some cases it's because people will pay more for the word.

Dac, I'm also in zone 5 Ontario and I am very impressed with the results I am seeing with the stuff. You won't regret the switch, I'm sure.
And anything I can hand to my barehanded six-year old nephew to scatter about in the garden is definitely on top of my list.

Re. organic. If it's good enough for the calves, it's good enough for my lawn :)
