Rabbit Droppings

Hi, We just bought a place and we're going to try turning the lawn organic. The lawn has been a bit neglected over the last year at least, so we have some work to do.

There are several rabbits who live in our yard, and when weeding the lawn I find lots of rabbit droppings. Are these good for my lawn? Bad? Indifferent?

Very very good for your lawn. Rabbit droppings are one of the few manures that can be used directly on your lawn and gardens. Good luck with your new home and gardens. Bill Hill

You can try a teaspoon of cayenne pepper in a gallon of water and wet the asters down with it. Ever since I did that the rabbits are eating my thrift. Fortunately, that grows faster than they can chew it down--and they're welcome to it.

does anybody know if any other small pets (i.e. gerbils, hamsters, guinea pigs, etc.) give a waste that can be used as manure in composting or immediate spreading?
