I would make the tea with cold well water and do all the dilutions with well water. The beneficial microbes that live in compost tea thrive best at temps between 60 and 70 F. When you get higher than 70 degrees water cannot hold enough oxygen for the microbes to really live long.

Compost tea is notorious for plugging the jets on everything you spray it with. It needs to be filtered heavily to prevent that.

So you don't think there is a problem with the force of the garden hose killing the microbes?
I can make the tea with 60 deg water but after 12 hrs of brewing I can't guarantee it will still be 60 unless I use a chiller.

I don't think I know the answer to the force of the water question. I know the professionals are interested in how the fungi survive the brewing process. Hmmmm.

60 degree F water is great. If you can make it indoors you will be fine. Making it outdoors in Phoenix in the summer is a waste of time.

When you made the tea was the compost in a tight mesh bag like cheesecloth or did you just add water to the compost?
If tea is made just by pouring water over it and mixing and letting it steep and then not strained there will be solids that will clog most any sprayer.
