Don't use lime unless you know you need it. If your lawn is dying now anyway, you can apply mulch over top. Use as much as you can afford to cover the soil. A great and inexpensive (free) source of mulch is chipped wood from a tree trimmer. What grass are you going to put in?

You could put down Used Coffee Ground there FREE.

Alfalfa Pellets, Soy bean meal, Compost, Kelp meal etc, etc, etc,
