Application rates of organic fertilizer

This year I have mainly been fertilizing with Agway Organic Fertilizer. The content list on the label looks wholesome and the cost isn't much higher than the price of bulk soybean meal that I've been able to get. The Agway fertilizer label says it contains alfalfa, molasses, sulfate of potash and porcine meat meal. This is my question: the application rate listed on the bag for newly seeded lawns or new sod is 10 lbs/1,000 sq. feet. (For established lawns, it only recommends 5 lbs / 1,000). This is less than the 20 lbs. / 1,000 sq feet that folks usually recommend on this forum for alfalfa. Do you think I should apply the Agway at 20lbs or is there something in the other contents of this fertilizer that makes it more potent? Many thanks
