Cutting SA sod

I have a spot in my yard that I want to turn into a flowerbed. It is about 3/4 bermuda and 1/4 SA. I was going to build up a lasagna bed there, but I really could use the SA in a couple of bare spots. Is it too late to cut out some sod for the SA and move it? It is still all green, in spite of some low temps and snow over the Thanksgiving holidays (last year, quite a bit of my SA stayed green all winter.

To be safe, wait until spring to transplant.

Thanks, skoot_cat. I was afraid that was the answer. I really don't want to waste at least $50 worth of grass.
