Mouse's Ear and Chickweed

I did a little research and here is what I found. Now I think what I have is just regular chickweed, but I will be looking this spring.

I have that in my yard too. I think henbit grows over the winter also. Do you have that in your flowerbeds?

Maybe it's purple deadnettle that I have instead of henbit. They look a lot alike. I have lots of it in my flowerbeds whatever it is.

Christie, I have the henbit during growing season, but this fall the purple deadnettle sprouted everywhere. I wasn't sure what it was, but checked your link and that is it! It has frost every morning, but it doesn't seem to faze it.

I need to figure out when to apply Preen to help with winter annuals because they really get away from me. I'm not outside very often to pull weeds like I would be in the summer and they're coming up everywhere.
