Good Morning All; I could use some advice selecting Tomatoes. I'm trying to match varieties listed in the "MU recommended vegetable varieties and planting guide", with what's available thru Jungs seed catalog.I'm looking to grow(from seed) PLUM/CHERRY(for salads)- Fresh eating, and Salsa specific.ALSO...Any advice on which variety of corn that cans well would be appreciated.I've gardened my whole life in Florida(and know what works well there)and am still trying to get the hang of gardening here.THANKS

RE: vegetable seed selection questions

I haven't been ordering from Jung although I have nothing against them. I have ordered from them before with good results. Check out my link below for small packets of seed and reasonable shipping cost. I also order from Tatiana's Tomato base seed catalog and Sandhill Preservation Center. Sun gold is a popular cherry tomato. I don't know if it is available from Jung. Juane Flamme was a small tomato that was very productive for me. Both of those are orange not red. I like pale perfect purple and eva purple ball for medium sized tomatoes that are dark pink not purple. Cherokee Purple is very popular also not really purple but dark red with a green top. It tastes good but is more perishable than the others I mentioned.

Here is a link that might be useful: sample seed shop
