| Does cilantro only have one season and then go to seed.? That is what mine did last year. Parsley goes for two seasons before going to seed |

| Cilantro (coriander) is an annual, so one season and parsley is a biennial, therefore, the two seasons. |

Yep, cilantro is an annual. Id like to add that there are 2 different kinds of cilantro one is mainly for the seeds corriander and the other has wider leaves and is for the leaves, cilantro. make sure you get the right kind. it makes a difference. welcome to the forum qumum if you havent been welcomed. come back often. vickie |

| For me cilantro is a self-seeding annual, like dill. I haven't planted either for many years. They come up every spring, we eat them, allow some of each to go to seed, eat a little more newly emerging plants in the fall, then those frost out, but the next spring more of both emerge. If you want cilantro for a longer season, you have to prevent it from going to seed and/or plant some seed later in the season. I freeze cilantro leaves to make garden fresh salsa with in midsummer when tomatoes are ripe. |
