I am using my wood blocks fast and I am going to sprinkle poppy seeds as I remove the wood. I got a big truck load of oak blocks from the saw mill so that ground has been covered all last year ( chunky mulch). I expect Bermuda to invade but the poppies will be done by then. It will be a good wild place for poppies.

Is it too late to scatter seed for poppies ? I received some breadseed poppy seeds as a bonus in a seed exchange last year and forgot all about them.

No, it is not too late. Everything is late this year.

Don't think it's too late. Poppies need a cool season to germinate and we are certainly getting one for a while yet. And thanks for reading my column, everyone!
