Late daffodils

Just noticed this week how very little of my daffodils are showing and it's almost March. It seems like they're usually taller than this even in January. The cold weather has scared them away.

Same here Christie. I do have buds 5 or 6 inches tall, but most years they are in full bloom by now--or before now. I have seen blooms in January in some years.

RE: Late daffodils

And this week isn't going to make them grow.

RE: Late daffodils

All the spring bulbs are about 3 weeks late this year. But to make you feel better, here is a hellebore, "Red Racer", in bloom today. It's been blooming for about 2 weeks now and more to come. The weather won't affect it much.

RE: Late daffodils

Pretty Sandy. Looks like that one has blooms that face up instead of hanging down where you can't see them well.
I haven't been outside enough to notice if I have any hellebores blooming. Not going to go look today. I'm staying inside where it's warm.
