Finally Got Some Seed planted

Yesterday morning I planted the following:

Yolo Wonder Bell Pepper
Vining petunia
Packman Broccoli (late on this one)
lavender Munstead
Irish Eyes Rudbeckia
Hollyhocks (from a friend)
A variegated Rose of Sharon Seeds (friend)

I have these under lights on the back porch but have the lavender and another that require cooler temps to germinate out in the Milk Parlor.

I won't start tomatoes until the first week or second of April.

RE: Finally Got Some Seed planted

Good idea Glenda. I should plant some flower seeds today because despite our weather, it is going to be spring soon. I planted tomatoes too early again but playing in my basement keeps me from doing housework. I started out with StayGreen potting mix from Lowes' with lots of added perlite. I really didn't think it was the best potting mix but that batch did great. Then I used Miracle Grow which was peaty and I didn't get as much perlite in that batch. Those plants held water and looked yellowish so I over fertilized. I looked for ideas online and used a little Epsom salt. Bad idea. I learned some things but will I remember next year? It isn't as though I won't have plenty of tomato plants because some of them look good. The wimpy ones are a pain to look at but instead of thowing them out I keep doctoring them.
