Now that's a garden! Wonder what's under those row covers?

What is the yellow flowered crop? I thought mustard but the leaves look bluish. When will you come home and who is taking care of your cat?

the flat row covers are for heating the soil. they pull it up when the soil temp is correct and then plant.

the yellow flowered plants are rape. they eat the plants when small but when they get larger they wait for the flowers to go to seed. they make an oil out of the seed. the plants to the right of the rape are mustard.

i am supposed to return home at the end of april but that might change.

my dw is taking care of the mouser or vice versa. i'm not sure.

Wow! That's beautiful but I'm glad it's not mine! My DH used to farm cotton and soybeans in Mississippi and we used the planter to plant a pea patch and a garden and it sure seemed like it was that big when working it. My dad planted enough greens to feed a small community.
