I love old fashioned fragrant roses. That full pink one is really beautiful. My mother used to talk about cabbage roses at her grandmother's house in Australia. I ordered lots of named old roses and I think I have one left. Austin roses I think sent huge healthy plants but I killed them. I do have some old shrub roses blooming now. They bloom once a year and have a loose flower that is very brief. I should move it to more sun. Years ago when we moved here Mom drove around Fort Crowder and dug up pieces of old roses that were near the abandoned barracks. My pink one lived at my mother's for years and I got a start. I don't care that the blooms shatter so quickly.

I just love the colors in that first photo Glenda. How pretty! Both of those roses are loaded with flowers. Bet your whole back yard smells good.

That looks like something in a magazine and I bet it smells wonderful too. Wow!

I have names like that too. Mine are the Shade Bed, North Bed, South Bed, and By the House Bed.
