Permanent Mulch Trial (3 Pics)

I may have told you last year that I was trying to do the Ruth Stout permanent mulch method on part of the garden. Well, so far, I am loving it. Here are a few shots of this year. It was a bit of trouble planting the potatoes....had to pull the mulch back and hoe a trench. I think Ruth just pushed everything into the soil.

Ruth Stout is my "mentor"? been gardening her way for last 30 years.fixing my raised beds has messed up my method for a time, but eventually they all will be. have about all her books now--the one I'm most intune with is garding for the "aging, the busy, and the indolent".
Like she says "GOD invented mulching'.
