The Martins are Back!

I had such a time getting my martin house repaired and back up that I was worried I was too late. While I was working outside this morning, 3 or 4 flew in chattering away and making that wonderful clicking sound!. One went inside the house and then they all left. I hope they found it to their liking and come back and nest. I do love these birds!

Wow! You are so fortunate. We are too wooded for them, but we saw our first hummingbird of the season yesterday.

We are still waiting for them. I have two feeders up and ready.

Here at the lake still waiting on the hummers. The only vistor I had on the hummingbird feeder was small woodpecker yesterday. Would LOVE to have the martins here but too many trees...I guess it's always a trade off to some degree.

The Martins came again this morning and also the first male hummer ate at the kitchen feeder. Spring has sprung!
