My serviceberries are blooming. This is a. canadensis and some candytuft that's blooming too.

I love the candytuft; don't know why I have never grown it. Do you have to trim it after bloom? That may be the reason.

I don't trim it. I wonder if I need to.

Glenda do you also have red quince? My red quince is showy right now. I have the salmon but it doesn't show up from a distance. I think the white would be pretty with the red. How hard is the brunnera to grow? I like it very much. Christie what ever you are doing with the candytuft, keep it up. You have a nice clump. I had a big clump of it where I lived before and have not had good luck with it here. I just bought a gallon pot of it at Lowe's recently. I put it in a pot with pansies. It looks good with your creeping phlox.

Helen I have a monster that was here when we moved and I have never done anything to it. I think I should cut it to the ground and let it come back new. It is very close to a huge Elm tree so maybe that is one reason it has so few blooms. I call it red but it is certainly not very showy.

I have the brunnera in a very shady spot next to the house that just gets a little morning sunlight. I had two, only one survived. All I do is let the leaves mulch it over winter and water during summer when it gets very dry next to the house. I do love it. So far, no bugs and no disease on this one.
