Any Bee Keepers in the area?

My husband just started bee keeping. We are both thrilled, and amazed by the little housekeepers. As you might expect, we enjoyed watching them so much, (and tried to be a good host), that we over did it. One, if not both, of the Queens took most of their anterage and left :( We have learned our leason, and would like to buy another package of bees to replace the hive we KNOW is gone. If there are any Bee Keepers around please contact me via this post. Maybe you could answer some questions if you are not dividing your hives at this time.

Sorry you lost your bees Nashonii. Have you already come across the Beekeepers Association of the Ozarks (Ozarksbeekeepers.org)? We had a swarm in a our little Short Leaf Pine two or three years ago and I was afraid to mow or walk in the area so I contacted them to find out if anyone could come out and get them.

This guy came out and got as many as he could into a hive and offered me some free honey. : )

I see a lot of bees in my yard so I suspect there's someone in my neighborhood that's a bee keeper but I don't know who.

I see Race Brothers is offering a Bee Keeping Seminar the last of this month. I am trying to convince myself to go.

Beekeepers Association of the Ozarks has monthly meetings and the people are amazing and friendly. Stop by their upcoming meeting at the Library Center.

Hi Nashonii I am the editor of the Ozarks Beekeepers Association's newsletter and also a local beekeeper.

We would love to have you come to our meetings we have alot of informative information and many mentors that could help you get your hives under control and show you the proper tasks that need to be done to control swarming and provide a good honey crop.

How long have you been beekeeping?

I will check with some of the beekeepers in the club and see if anyone can help you out with providing some bees.

I do know of one person that is selling frames of bees, brood, honey and pollen on drawn comb. Contact me via email and I can get you his information.
