Display gardens around Fayetteville/Bentonville area?

Are there any good places to visit around the Fayetteville/Bentonville area? We probably won't have a lot of time and I prefer to visit someplace that has markers with plant names (so I can add to my wish list).
Has anyone visited the Botanical Garden of the Ozarks in Fayetteville yet? I found a website for it and it says it opens in 2006. I wonder if it is already open. We'll have the kids with us and it has a childrens garden so I think that would be something they would enjoy too. Or maybe it's just getting started and not much to see yet. Anyone know? Thanks

Here is a link that might be useful: Botanical Garden of the Ozarks

If I remember right, the Botanical Gardens have their official opening in October. The roses were planted this spring, I'm pretty sure. Compton Garden in Bentonville is a wonderful newer garden of native plants (with markers) and a beautiful nature walk. It's only a block or two from the square in downtown Bentonville. Peel House is in front of the WalMart Super Center and well worth a stop.
