Master Gardener plant Sale--Carthage

This was in my email yesterday:

The 14th annual Ozark Gateway Master Gardeners plant sale will take place on May 7, 2011 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Powers Museum, 1617 Oak St., Carthage. A variety of plants including annuals, vegetables, herbs, blackberry and raspberry plants, house plants, hanging baskets, perennials, shrubs, and trees will be offered for sale. Used gardening books, yard art, and miscellaneous other garden items will also be included. Master Gardeners will be on hand to assist with gardening questions.

Proceeds from the sale fund volunteer community projects and services offered by Master Gardener members. Ongoing community projects include a food pantry garden at Joplin Crosslines Churches, the Carthage Library garden, a demonstration garden at Wildcat Glades Conservation and Audubon Center, and the Webb City Youth Garden. Other educational activities and services include the Joplin Recycling Center Earth Day Event, a garden at C.A.N.D.O. Senior Center in Carthage, Webb City Science Day, judging at fairs and shows, speaking engagements and garden information booths at various events.
