This is a nice garden if you are in the Grove area. It is mostly a shade garden. They used to have more daylilies, but the trees are encroaching more now. It is not a large garden like Nathanial Green Park, but you would enjoy it. http://www.lendonwood.com/

Mother and I spent a couple days in Grove in 2002. Somehow we lucked into Lendenwood Garden and it was so refreshing and beautiful. I hadn't thought of it in years, but it would be worth an overnight in Grove to see it. I'll take Kate -- she could be on her leash there. Thanks for reminding me, Helen. Sunny

Thanks Violet. Sunny, it doesn't take long to see the garden. It would be a nice Sunday drive from Joplin. Don't stop at Downstream. A weekday might be better; although it has not been crowded when I visited.
