The City of Springfield invites all ages to celebrate the 37th annual Earth Day.

The biggest Earth Day activity takes place Saturday April 21st with a special celebration at the Discovery Center.

There will be safety demonstrations, kids activities, and a film festival throughout the day. On Saturday people can also get a free vehicle check up.

Tree City U.S.A. Citizen Advisory Committee will hold a day long program called "Conservation of Trees" at the Discovery Center on Saturday April 21st as well.

The Springfield Conservation Nature Center will be hosting outdoor work projects on Saturday April 21st. Projects include habitat restoration and helping woodchip parts of the Nature Center trails.

Sunday April 22nd is the official Earth Day, and Dickerson Park Zoo will hold a Party for the Planet.

Earth Day events are free and are open to all ages.
