They are probably Showy Evening Primrose. They have been planted here in Arkansas along the highways, and they can spread rapidly by seeds. They are very drought tolerant once established because of a long tap root. I think they are beautiful, but they are becoming a bit invasive in my garden.

Pink primrose is right. I love them, gorgeous with yellow native coreopsis and the other day in Eureka Springs I saw them with blue iris. I'm definitely going to do that! I think I would love them with larkspur too.

Find a yard that has them and ask for them. People will give you starts because they do spread. Put them in a place where you can allow them to spread.
