Colored Slag Glass

Does anyone here know where I can buy chunks of slag glass around Rogers, Arkansas? I understand there are rock shops carrying it, but I haven't been down there in years.

Slag glass are chunks of colored glass from glass foundries in Arkansas and usually are from bowling ball sized to smaller. All colors that are found in stained glass. They are lovely in a rockery.

At our new place, I have a ?rock? that is clear and aquamarine in color. Is this thing slag glass? I could try to post a picture, if need be. Thanks!

RE: Colored Slag Glass

Yes! That's slag glass. It comes in pink, clear, grass green, and aquamarine. All sizes. Usually presented at rock shops in a heap and you just pick through them.

I'm going to Rogers/Eureka Springs after all. Wish me luck. Thank you for your note, dowbright.
