Speaking of Climbing Roses......

and Jessaka was. At long last the rose Awakening on the front porch is blooming her head off.

It is a version of New Dawn. I can't detect any fragrance but it is a luscious pale pink which I can't seem to capture with either of my cameras.{{gwi:1111798}}

What a beautiful rose! I've often considered getting this one as I've read it repeats reliably (unlike New Dawn).

I really don't get a lot of repeat but this is its first year to really bloom well, so I will keep a watch on it this year.

That's interesting to know (unless I'm getting my roses confuzzled). I do like the late-ish bloom time though as my earlier bloomers got hammered by rains both this year and last.

I think almost everything in the rose line has been ordered online. I got this from a nursery that has since gone out of business. I need to find time to take some cuttings of the roses and see if they will take.
