Another one that I don't recognize...
My husband thought it was grass but I think it is some sort of flower. Any ideas?

Daylilies I am almost positive. Buds will start showing up soon. I have some budded out.

Growing wild by the mailbox. Help to ID please!

That is a pretty one. It doesn't look wild at all maybe escaped. The flower looks like hardy orchid but the foliage looks like iris or blackberry lily. I hope someone can ID it.

Wow if that is an Iris I have never seen one like that before but the plant sure looks like an Iris. It is really pretty.

Most likely a Gladiolus perhaps a hybrid nanus or byzantinus.

Pretty thing - Wild Gladiola - verified in several books on wild flowers. Thanks all.

I don't think that first pic is daylily. I think it is liriope, or monkey grass. If so it will have a purple bloom on a stalk in midsummer.

I thought that too but I would have to pull one up to see the roots. It is hard to tell from a photo because they are both lily type things.

I am still waiting for this stuff to bloom if it's going to. Still looks just like it did when I originally posted the picture. waiting......

Here is what liriope roots look like. Not all of my liriope blooms. It is an edging plant.

Here is a link that might be useful: liriope
