Here's a pic of my red azalea -- there is a white one next to it which is budding out, then nandinas, then rhododendrons starting to bloom -- sorry I couldn't get the photo smaller - I'm still learning

| That is beautiful. You have a neat yard and house. I don't think your photo is large. I can grow the deciduous azaleas but have no luck with the evergreen. I have to put mine by the side of the barn where they get extra water off the roof. It is just too tough here in summer. |

| Beautiful azaleas. I can't raise any kind! I think the picture size is great. Very pretty house. |

| SOOO Pretty! Does your house face the north? My poor little azalea isn't even 1/4 the size of yours. |

Thank you -- the azaleas are old, so don't feel bad! I cut them back by a third last year. Yes, the house faces north and on the other side, I have a line of taxus with hostas, lillorope (sp?) and groundcovers. There's a HUGE very old oak to the right out of the photo which lost many large limbs in the last ice storm. Now there's a little too much sun from the west for ferns, but the hosta do just fine. Those azalea are wonderful. Reminds me of when I went through Georgia in the spring time, many years ago. Very nice. The hosta bed here had to get used to more sun because of ice damaged limbs. I ended up having to move 2 of the that just would not take the sun. Good luck Bonnie |
