5th Annual Bluegrass & Blossoms Concert

Hosted by Friends of the Garden

Date: Saturday, June 26, 2010

Time: 1:00pm - 5:00pm

Location: Nathanael Greene/Close Memorial Park

Street: 2400 S Scenic Ave

Featuring two different bluegrass bands, Missouri Mountain Gang and Reel Greene.

The area is located in the walnut grove near Drummond Lake.

 The Bill Roston Native Butterfly House is open 10 am - 6 pm and during the concert with free admission. Docents will be available to show you about butterflies and life cycles. Get a up-close look at native butterflies as they transform from egg to caterpillar, from caterpillar to chrysalis, and finally from chrysalis to butterfly! Learn about host plants and how to attract butterflies to your home landscape.

 Get a up-close look is available 1-5 pm to enable visitors to view as many of the 22 gardens as possible.

 Free entry for the day to the Mizumoto Japanese Stroll Garden, located in the northeast corner of the park.

Hours are 9 am - 7:30 pm

 Daylilys and Asiatic Lilys are now in full bloom, be sure to bring your camera!

 Bring lawn chairs & a picnic!
