Sounds like me when I have to really work at getting something to grow. I get so excited. Then off to find a new challange!
I really like that pink color also. Why be the same as everyone else.

christie, I would leave it alone. It is a beautiful pink.

How did you take the cutting? I have never done that and I am not very good at it on most things.

I tried to take cuttings at least a couple summers but couldn't get them to root so I layered some branches on the ground. The first time, one rooted but died after I moved it, then the next year, I left a couple in place until the following spring so they would have better roots. So it took me at least five years to get a start of it. lol I have two but I don't think the second one has any buds.

Christie, that is a beautiful color. I have two pots of Endless Summer that are blooming. It appears one will be blue and one pink, and the smaller of the two is a cutting from the other. I will try to keep the colors that way.
I have had excellent success rooting cuttings in my open cold frame. The time of year that I take them doesn't seem to matter....either at the blooming time, or later on. I have never used dormant cuttings.

Marian, I need details.....tip end with no bloom, or bloom end and pinch bloom off? How long cutting should be.
