Are you sure it is not one of those striped borers that make a hole on the stem and go inside and eat at the inside of the stem. I have those on various plants not so much tomatoes, but I have had one or two in tomato stems. Lots of stuff is wilting here but lack of water and too much heat is the reason.

I have never grown them before. I do think certain varieties are more prone to disease. If it were me I would probably give up on it.

Same here Helen, even with watering I am seeing leaves curling on things.

This is only the 2nd year I've grown Krims but I didnt have a problem with them last year....other than they werent as productive as other varieties. Hoping for a better crop this year. Black Krim is the one plant DH asks for.

I'm glad I gave the BKrim the benefit of doubt and didn't pull it out. I did buy a nice Beef Master to replace it that I had to find a spot for, though. Pretty sure the cupping and wilting is due to heat and no rain, as you said, even though they are heavily mulched. I'm having to water them deeply every other day and most are just full of nice green tomatoes. YUM!
