Planting zinnias and cosmos

I've been planting zinnia seeds this week, just Scarlet Flame and Zowie Yellow Flame so far, mostly from seeds I collected last fall. I'm planting them a little earlier than last year, although it seems late since it's been warm for so long.

I'm not sure how late cosmos can be planted and I just did those today. It's a purple bicolor I ordered from Jungs. They look pretty in the photo. I'll link it below.

I also sowed some celosia seeds last week in a lasagna pan and got pretty good germination considering they were a couple years old. It's some I saved from a hot pink plume type celosia.

I'm almost afraid to go through my seed box. Probably several things in there I should've already planted. I had completely forgotten that I bought canteloupe seeds. What do you think? Should I just save them for next year?
