Awesome!! That's why I moved back to this area..that and you can grow about anything here. Well, if you can find some dirt in the rocks..

Seascapes are nice (just got back from Florida) but the mountains have a essence that is all their own.

I believe the small tree is Hophornbeam, Ostrya virginiana, aka Ironwood.
Thanks for the lovely views. I have only been there once.

Thanks, Beerhog, I have not ever been there. Only up to the Buffalo. Truly beautiful.

Wonderful View!
Is this where they have an annual Butterfly Festival? I know it's somewhere in Arkansas. I came across a link to it once.

Yes, the Butterfly Festival is there. According to the website below, Monarch butterfly migration peaks at the end of September...

There's also a brand-new State Park lodge facility that is absolutely beautiful. I can't wait to visit it!

Here is a link that might be useful: Mt. Magazine State Park website

Really good pictures, Beerhog. Makes me miss Arkansas.

One of my favorite places to visit in Ark. Although I think the new lodge on the south rim ruins what was my favorite place to picnic. Oh well, can't stand in the way of progress.
