Two new flowers for me this year

This is salvia farinacea Evolution and cosmos Double Click. I really like them both. Don't know if the seed will be true next year, but I am going to try saving some.

They are very pretty. Isn't the salvia perennial? I expect the seed of the cosmos would not be true, but worth a try.

No, Marian, I believe it is a farinacea, variety Evolution...they are almost perennial for me from self-seeding. Don't know about this new one though.

Pretty! I wouldn't have guessed that was cosmos. You might get some interesting seedlings. Are you having to stake them? My single flowered cosmos that I have this year are tall and flopping a little.

No staking so far.

My single cosmos are doing much yet...probably need to be watered.

Great pictures, I may try to grow the cosmos in a pot next spring. The blooms remind me of a dalhia.
